Unless the Lord Builds the House

Psalm 127:1-2English Standard Version (ESV) Unless the Lord Builds the House A Song of Ascents. Of Solomon. 127 Unless the Lord builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain. 2 It is in vain that you rise up early and go late to rest, eating the bread of anxious toil; for he gives to his beloved sleep. Colossians 3:23-24English Standard Version (ESV) 23 Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ. 2 Thessalonians 3:10-13English Standard Version (ESV) 10 For even when we were with you, we would give you this command: If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat. 11 For we hear that some among you walk in idleness, not busy at work, but busybodies. 12 Now such persons we command and encourage in the Lord Jesus Christ to do their work quietly and to earn their own living.[a] 13 As for you, brothers, do not grow weary in doing good. Footnotes: 2 Thessalonians 3:12 Greek to eat their own bread Philippians 2:12-13English Standard Version (ESV) Lights in the World 12 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure. 1 Peter 2:4-5English Standard Version (ESV) 4 As you come to him, a living stone rejected by men but in the sight of God chosen and precious, 5 you yourselves like living stones are being built up as a spiritual house, to be a holy priesthood, to offer spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

In between series, or sometimes in the midst of series, God will prompt a message that we feel needs to be given. This is a collection of those talks, not associated with a series.
